Following requests from candidates for a recheck of results from the February 2026 MRCS (ENT) examination held in Glasgow, a detailed review of the relevant marksheets and recorded examination marks has now been completed.
For most candidates, no errors were identified, and the marks and overall examination outcomes were confirmed as accurate.
In a small number of cases, discrepancies were identified in the recording of marks. These records have now been corrected and fully reviewed. The corrections did not result in any change to the candidates’ overall pass or fail outcomes.
We recognise the importance of candidates having confidence in the accuracy, fairness and integrity of the examination process. Following the identification of this issue, additional checks have been completed and relevant procedures have been reviewed to reduce the risk of similar errors occurring in the future.
We sincerely apologise for any concern or uncertainty this matter may have caused and thank all affected candidates for their patience and understanding while the review was undertaken.
