Both the MRCS and DO-HNS have evolved since the formation of the intercollegiate examinations in 2004. As such, previous regulations and syllabi which are no longer applicable to candidates - but could still have a bearing on their eligibility - are available in this section for reference.

Archived MRCS 2004-11 information

Within this section are the MRCS regulations and syllabus, which consisted of Parts 1 2, and 3 (OCC), and ceased in 2011. Candidates who entered the examination under these regulations moved over to the Part B (OSCE) examination or the Part B (OCC), depending on whether they sat the Part B in the UK or overseas.

Archived MRCS overseas information

Within this section are the MRCS (OCC) regulations and syllabus, which ceased on 31 January 2016. The MRCS (OCC) was open to candidates who sat the examination overseas and consisted of a Part A (MCQ) examination and Part B (OSCE) section.
